 Privacy notice
The Government Payment Service staff has invested considerable resources, and uses the most advanced tools and methods in this area in order to create a protected system that safeguards privacy, the site’s systems, the complete charging chain and the supply schedule.

The Government Payment Service is a closed and protected system, both in communicating with the customer (SSL Protocol) and in safeguarding the various servers in the system (intrusion detection system, application level firewall, and other means).

All the customer’s details, including charging details, are saved in the system on a protected server that is only accessible to a limited number of authorized people. We guarantee that no use will be made of information saved by the server that is inconsistent with the proper conditions of commerce, and that none of this sensitive information will be transferred to any other party.

Communication with the customer is encoded by means of the SSL Protocol. The protocol is an international standard, and enables encoding of the information between the server and the user’s browser, so that no persons listening on the Internet or through which the information passes can eavesdrop on the information.

The service can be used anonymously. A customer who is interested in saving his details on the server in order to ascertain the status of previous purchases, or to facilitate future use (remembering his address for example), will receive a password to safeguard these details. Credit-card details are not saved in the system’s database, but are used solely for executing the payment. Thus, even a break-in to the information server will not reveal the customer’s details.

In order to prevent the use of a stolen credit card, a meticulous examination is conducted of verifying credit card details with the credit companies for every payment. Note that according to the law, if any “fraudulent use” is made of the card, that is to say, its use by an unauthorized person, upon notifying the credit companies the holder of the card will be reimbursed for the amount of the purchase.

The Government Payment Service system uses “cookies” in order to identify the customer’s movements between the different pages, to maintain continuity of the service and to prevent session hijacking. The “cookies” do not contain information about the client, details entered by him, or the history of his actions. No follow up or collection of information about the customer is conducted in this way. Blocking the possibility of using cookies will interfere with the functioning of the system, and prevent the possibility of completing the purchase.
